I’ve realised that the best part of running a business is that I get to make the rules.
Take last week for example - I had a terrible flu (also why you didn’t get a newsletter last week). I instantly knew I had to cancel my calls. If I was in a regular job, I would have felt so guilty, probably have tried to power through and likely still be sick now.
Additionally, this week, I’m currently in a self-inflicted break period between project kickoffs. One think I hated when I was working in creative agencies was it felt like you never had to to recalibrate in between projects. This left me feeling burnt out and eventually was part of why I quit.
I will be using this time to tie up loose ends on existing projects and also diving into some good old personal admin.
