It’s official Notion AI agents have officially launched!

Notion is branding agents as your “overnight employee” that can get things done based on your triggers/on a schedule. If you are new to the world of agents, it can be difficult to imagine what you could build with them.

I’ve broken Notion AI agent use cases down into three categories:

The Reporter: Synthesise your knowledge - or scrape the internet - into reports on a schedule

• 🗓️ “It’s Monday 9am - here’s the weekly team update” (what shipped, what slipped, what’s next)l
• 🌙 “End-of-day recap” posted to a channel or drafted as an email for stakeholders

The Operators: Does your bidding based on pre-set task instructions without you lifting a finger

• 📣 Someone messages “Can you update the deck?” and it turns into a task with the right project + due date
• 🏷️ A new request comes in and gets tagged automatically as “bug”, “content”, or “ops” (so it lands in the right queue)

The Oracle: Answers questions & updates docs based on common knowledge

• 📚 A repeated Slack question becomes a new FAQ entry so the next person doesn’t need to ask
• 📛 “How do we name client projects?” answered consistently from your SOP, not from memory
