Something on my mind lately is how a lot of businesses are not as ready for Notion as they think they are.
I’ve been in the ops business for a very long time and I’ve come to find that more often that not, tools don’t fail - people do. Companies will often want to roll out a new tool hoping that it will be the fix to all their problems.
Issue is, there’s often no strategy behind it - it’s just vibes.
No strategy. No training (especially ongoing training). All that’s left is frustrated team members feeling confused and the urge to spend even more time and money hoping to another tool, that will have exactly the same issues, because this one didn’t “work”.
My favourite Notion clients are the ones who recognise the value in a strategic rollout and not just a “quick build and on your way”. You can kind of get away with this at smaller companies but if you are a fast-scaling/large company - adopting Notion without a strategic rollout is simply a pointless exercise.
